Position Summary:

The Human Resource Manager is responsible for leading and directing the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including recruiting talent, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The Human Resource Manager will work very closely with the company’s leadership team daily to provide support, expertise, and counsel on all employment related matters within the company. Promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture for the company are vital aspects of this position. The person who holds this position must lead by example, maintaining excellent communication skills while working on complex problems within the organization.   

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to employees and management when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which includes posting jobs, recruiting, and screening applicants, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for all new job openings.
  • Nurtures a positive working environment while promoting the organizations corporate values and shaping a positive culture within the organization.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal and professional development opportunities for employees.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Conducts and acquires pre-employment background checks, drug screenings, reference checks and employee eligibility requirements
  • Manages the company DOT Driver Files, DOT Compliance program and administers the DOT and the periodic and random drug screening process for all DOT and non-DOT employees within the organization who are in safety sensitive positions. 
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Administers and manages the company benefits system and assists new hires with insurance enrollments as well as overseeing the company’s annual open enrollment period.
  • Supervises and oversees the Office Administrator Position within the organization.
  • Processes and administers companywide payroll on a weekly basis utilizing the company’s third-party vendor, Paylocity, platform to do so. Must ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, commissions, employee expense reimbursements, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

  • A minimum of at least five years or more of human resource management experience is required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is not required but is highly preferred and desired.

Position Summary:

Headquartered in Sarasota, Florida with Operations in Central Florida, USST is seeking to add a qualified Technical Sales Representative to its team. This Technical Sales Representative will be primarily responsible for sales of USST SediVision™ professional services via direct phone calls, email, zoom video meetings, in person meetings, industry conferences, and other direct marketing campaigns. This position will work closely with and under the direction and guidance of the USST Sales Manager and the USST Chief Executive Officer.

SediVision™ is U.S. Submergent Technologies’ (USST) predictive maintenance solution designed for wastewater tank conditions. Our proprietary technology provides complete visibility where there has never been any, under dark water in wastewater tanks. With SediVision™, a client will know precisely how much and where material has accumulated in their wastewater tanks, enabling them to make informed decisions about how to restore capacity and where to direct cleaning resources. This process allows managers to direct cleaning efforts towards structures with the highest accumulation and develop a predictive maintenance schedule based on reliable data.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Translating and explaining highly complex technical information to customers and clients, focusing on revealing how our services can solve specific problems
  • Generating and maintaining high quality sales leads. Scheduling appointments with qualified prospective customers. Successfully convert qualified leads into sales.
  • Maintaining strong professional relationships with existing clients and meeting with new clients to expand sales territories
  • Maintaining and recording customer data and project documentation within our Salesforce CRM Database
  • Listening to customers’ needs and advising them on the best services to pursue.
  • Conducting market research and obtaining feedback from clients to continuously improve our existing services
  • Assist the Senior/Business Development Manager in tracking and closing sales opportunities in the territory.
  • Working closely with the USST Management Team to develop SediVision™ professional services pricing, generate proposals for customers and deliver project quotes as needed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Achieving agreed upon sales targets and obtaining Purchase Orders within monthly, quarterly, and annual Sales Plan Forecasts under the direction of the USST Sales Manager
  • Attending client, company, and industry meetings and/or conferences as needed or required
  • Approximately 50%-75% travel is required; all approved travel expenses will be paid for by the company

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Sales, or related field
  • Previous experience in sales

Field Service Technician II/CDL Driver

USST is seeking to add qualified Service Technicians to its team.  Service Technicians are primarily responsible for completing daily field duties in a safe and compliant manner as well as being highly motivated individuals with an excellent work ethic.

Main Duties:

  • Train in the understanding and efficient operation and troubleshooting of the USST Combination truck and GritGone Process® as well other technologies
  • Maintain and safely operate pump trucks, vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks and other company vehicles, including pre and post-trip inspections
  • Complete and submit company forms and truck logs according to state and federal regulations
  • Communicate professionally and report any issues to appropriate internal personnel while continuously providing excellent customer service
  • Successfully complete safety training as provided by USST to become an expert in recognizing potential onsite safety hazards through communication and reporting
  • Properly employ personal protective equipment
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and maintain a spirit of cooperation and teamwork at all times
  • Willing and able to travel for several days at a time, nights and/or weekends when required; overtime can be expected

Skills & Experience:
